Recently, there have been several rumors circulating about the next installment in the Dragon Age series. Today, we have a bit more information, particularly from official sources. The studio has officially unveiled the name of the game and promised a trailer in the coming days.
The game is titled Dragon Age: The Veilguard and we will get a gameplay reveal on June 11th. A 15-minute presentation that will shed light on many new details about the game.
The change in name has intrigued fans somewhat, as the absence of the word “Dreadwolf” did not go unnoticed. A change that the game’s executive producer defended by stating that this name did not align with the game’s main theme. Although Dreadwolf remains important, the hero and the main characters who support him are the most important elements of this new installment.
“Each of the seven characters that make up your group will have deep and compelling stories, where your decisions will impact your relationships with them and their lives. This group of heroes will come together as they face a new terrifying threat that will shake the world. Of course, the villain Dreadwolf will still play a crucial role in this story, but you and your companions are the heart of this new experience,” the producer said.
As a reminder, the full game presentation will take place as part of the Summer Game Fest, expected next Tuesday.
