Microsoft Gaming has recently indicated publicly that it may release more games on PlayStation 5, but it is studying each game individually before considering whether it’s worth releasing on a rival console. According to TheVerge, there are games that are not even within the realm of possibilities and will never have a version for the PS5.
Tom Warren, who has no rival in accessing information about Microsoft Gaming’s internal plans, assures that Hellblade 2 and Starfield are among the possible Microsoft Gaming games to receive a PS5 version, but Gears 6, South of Midnight, and Fable were never on the list of possibilities.
Warren says that Fable and South of Midnight will be released in 2025 as Microsoft Gaming exclusives, on platforms where you can access the Game Pass, with no plans to develop versions for PlayStation or Nintendo consoles.
Regarding Gears 6, Warren only shares that it is not part of “Project Latitude,” Microsoft Gaming’s internal project to convert games from its studios to consoles from other manufacturers.
