Rise of the Ronin is poised to re-enter the spotlight with an upcoming update. Initially launched on March 22nd as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, the game received a favorable reception from players, earning a commendable score of 8.7/10.
Despite its initial success, Rise of the Ronin fell short of achieving the same level of acclaim as Ghost of Tsushima. Critics pointed to its somewhat sparse and antiquated open world as a factor. However, the game still stands as a noteworthy title in its own right.
The forthcoming update, scheduled for this week, promises to inject fresh content into the game. Among the highlights are 5 new partner missions and the introduction of a feature in Black Night mode that allows players to disrupt public order within a city. Additionally, gameplay enhancements are on the horizon, including the expansion of available combat styles to a maximum of 6.
The update’s full patch notes include:
- Addition of 5 new partner missions.
- Ability to choose to deteriorate public order in a region again when replaying in Black Night mode.
- Introduction of a level synchronization feature for Spiritual Testament missions.
- Inclusion of two new set bonuses in Black Night mode.
- Addition of training partners in dojos.
- Inclusion of martial skill bonuses and an increase in the score limit.
Gameplay Improvements:
- Expansion of available combat styles to a maximum of 6 when equipped with two weapons of the same type.
- Adjustment of specifications to provide special equipment even if the player does not confess anything.
- Specification change to gradually return greetings from characters with whom the player has broken up to normal.
- Enhanced selection process for asynchronous characters.
